Ritual on the Day of Lingbao Tianzun

Lingbao Tianzun (灵宝天尊) — Heavenly Lord of the Numinous Treasure — is the second among the Three Pure Ones. He represents the phase of differentiation, when yin and yang flow out from primordial unity. He is the guardian of sacred texts that present the teaching on the emergence of natural order, lawfulness, and duality.

The ritual is performed on the 23rd day of the 6th lunar month, often close to the summer solstice — when yang energy reaches its peak and begins to turn toward yin. This is a moment of cosmic balance, suitable for the recitation of texts and the ritual transmission of teaching.

In temples, incense is offered on this day, ritual recitations are performed, and the preciousness of Daoist teachings passed down from generation to generation is celebrated.
