Daoist Community

On April 26, 2017, during the Days of Chinese Daoist Culture in the Republic of Slovenia, master Yuan Li Min encouraged and supported the idea of establishing a Slovenian Daoist religious community.

On September 28, 2017, Grandmaster Zhou Jinfu organized a meeting at Baiyunguan, the seat of the Chinese Taoist Association in Beijing. The meeting was attended by: Feng He, Secretary General of the Chinese Taoist Association; Wang Tongjiang from the editorial department of the Chinese Taoist Association; Grandmaster Zhou Jinfu; Darija Mavrič Čeh, MA; and Jure Čeh.

On March 20, 2018, master Yuan Li Min proposed the name of the emerging community: 斯洛文尼亚道教太和宫 / Slovenian Daoist Temple of Supreme Harmony.

The founding session of SDT was held on May 23, 2018, on the 771st anniversary of the birth of Zhang Sanfeng, the founder of Wudang Xuan Wu Pai. The founding members elected the bodies of the religious community and adopted its statute.

On May 28, 2018, on the 1,222nd anniversary of the birth of Lü Dongbin, all the necessary documents for the registration of the religious community were submitted at the filing office of the Ministry of Culture.

On June 15, 2018, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia (Office for Religious Communities) confirmed the registration of our religious community.

The SDT religious community is committed to spirituality and human dignity in private and public life. It strives to give meaning to existence in the field of religious life and takes part in public life by developing its cultural, educational, solidarity, charitable, and other activities. In its work, it follows the principles of national, racial, religious, and other equality, as well as the principles of tolerance, non-coercion, non-violence, and non-judgment.
