Letter of Intent: SDT, Qi Lab. Institute and the University of Primorska

The Slovenian Daoist Temple, Qi Lab. Institute, and the University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities, Confucius Classroom Koper, extended our long-standing mutual cooperation until September 30, 2030, by signing a letter of intent on September 19, 2025, at the Dean’s Office of the University of Primorska Faculty of Humanities.

Cooperation between religious traditions and academic institutions in a scientific context does not mean affirming doctrinal content, but rather its desired methodological transformation into an object of analysis. Within this framework, religious practices are treated as cultural, historical, and symbolic phenomena subject to descriptive, analytical, and hermeneutic examination, while maintaining epistemological distance. 

Such cooperation does not establish a hierarchy of credibility among systems of knowledge, but enables their comparative understanding, while the fundamental distinction between the inner experience of a tradition and external scientific interpretation remains of central methodological importance.
